The release of Jana Nayagan, starring Thalapathy Vijay and directed by H. Vinoth, has been officially postponed following delays related to censor certification and ongoing court proceedings. The makers confirmed that the film could not proceed with its scheduled release because of unavoidable circumstances.

Despite the postponement, the film’s massive global anticipation was evident, with nearly ₹40 crore collected through overseas advance bookings. Following the delay, all advance bookings will be fully refunded due to the delay.
